Director of Coaching

Over the past 30 years, founder Brad Lamb, has developed his coaching knowledge from an extensive playing career and also working with some of the best coaches in the world.

Brad’s journey to The Golf Institute started when he was selected into the golf programs at the Australian Institute of Sport and then the Victorian Institute of Sport, attending between 1995 and 2000.

Throughout the years, Brad was fortunate enough to work with some of Australia’s best coaches and players including Ross Herbert, Denis McDade and Dale Lynch.  Rod Pampling, Peter Senior, Rebecca Artis, Geoff Ogilvy, Aaron Baddeley, Brett Rumford and Scott Gardiner are just a small number of the players Brad has spent time with and was able to learn from.

Highlights of Brad’s playing career included a win in the 1996 NSW Amateur Championship, representing Australia at the 2000 Eisenhower Cup in Germany, a win in the 2000 Victorian Open Championship as an amateur, becoming the 2000 Australian Amateur Champion and playing in the 2008 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.

In 2003, as a player, Brad started working with the guru of the golf swing, Gary Edwin OAM.  The genius of Gary and his right sided team have enabled so many players and coaches to understand how a difficult game can be simplified.  All the time Brad has spent with Gary as a player and a coach has helped shape him into the coach he is today.

The Golf Institute encompasses everything Brad has learned in the past 30 years.  We have created a modern and streamlined approach to enable all golfers to become their best.
